Imperial Polishing Film - 861X 3M's new 861X eliminates slurries
as the final polishing step on ultra PC connectors. This fixed abrasive product
incorporates a unique resin system that anchors precisely graded silicon
dioxide mineral onto a flocked backing. As a small amount of deionized water is
introduced, the mineral is released from its bond to form an effective
polishing medium on the surface of the disc. 3M 861X is a forgiving,
easy-to-use product. You'll see less operator variability and narrower standard
deviations in performance without the mess of slurries. When properly used, 3M
861X will achieve a 53-60 dB return loss with 40-80 nanometers of
undercut. |
