Roll Coverings:
Massasoit Tool Company offers an extensive line of roll coverings serving a
wide spectrum of roller applications and industries. Our product offering
includes Non-Woven, Vinacar, Rubber, Anodized, and Fabricated
Coverings.
Non-Woven Rolls:
High performance rolls designed for maximum performance in mill environments.
Non-Woven rolls resist cutting and gouging, have self healing capabilities, and
deliver a higher co-efficient of friction than traditional rolls for improved
quality.

VINACAR / Rubber
Rolls
Our Most Popular Roll
Coverings: |
 |
 |
VINACAR II:
Proprietary polymer modified with antioxidants and coupling agents to provide
excellent internal heat and tear resistance as encountered in a mill
environment. Its attributes include resistance to a variety of immersion media
such as acids, bases/caustics, oils / hydrocarbons, cleaners, etc. Heat
resistance up to 450 degrees F. with outstanding abrasion
resistance. |
 |
 |
VINAPRENE:
Exclusive blend of Vinacar and Neoprene for applications which require the
chemical resistance of neoprene combined with the toughness of
Vinacar. |
 |
 |
VINACAR PBU:
A proprietary blend of rubber compounds developed as an off-shoot to the high
performance automotive racing industry. Ideal when used as an applicator roll
in Chem-Treat solutions or as a tension-bridle on light gauge
metals. |
 |
 |
VINACAR
Ultra-Tech: High performance roll coverings with a multi-directional
Kevlar* fiber dispersed into the matrix. Excellent cut & tear resistance
plus dramatically improved load bearing capacity. An extra benefit is the
coefficient of friction may be improved by this modification. (4) Coverings to
choose from. |
 |
 |
VINACAR
Duro-Tech: Outstanding abrasion resistance and load bearing characteristics
make this our benchmark in roll toughness! This extremely hard covering is best
suited for high wear applications such as hold-down / deflector rolls,
etc. |
 |
 |
VINACAR HT:
High temperature formulation with excellent cut and tear resistance up to 450
degrees F. Use where EPDM or Silicone rubber may not provide the necessary
physicals to get the job done! |
 |
 |
VINACAR
Furnace-Tech: A high temperature formulation designed specifically for
atmospheric furnace seal applications. Outstanding performance when used on
continuous annealing lines. |
 |
 |
VINACAR
ARN-3: A special formulation specific for highly oxidizing acids. (i.e.:
stainless steel pickling solutions and chromic acid). This formulation has no
extractable elements in the mixture and has very good physicals. |
 |
 |
VINACAR
Caustic: Designed to withstand caustic solutions with a high pH at elevated
temperatures. (pH 13 -14 above 160 degrees F.). |
 |
Other Roll
Coverings: |
 |
 |
VINACAR PK:
Bone hard phenolic/fiber matrix developed for use on Tension Level (T/L),
Stretch-Bend-Level (SBL), as well as sink rolls in plating lines. |
 |
 |
VINACAR
DURO-GUARD 55: Exceptional performance when used as a Chem-Coater wringer,
or Chem-Treat Dry-In-Place applicator.
