Outstanding Small Distributor - How we made The Grade   Industrial Distribution is pleased to present the 50 Outstanding Small Distributors of 1999. The Companies listed in the following pages were chosen from the nearly 200 distributorships across the country that were nominated for the honor earlier this year. Each year, ID presents this special report as part of an ongoing effort to examine the role of the small distributor in the industrial distribution marketplace. We begin the section with an overview story that provides a general look at the small distributor, based on responses from all of the companies surveyed this year. The story also focuses on trends and issues identified by analyzing the 50 firms that made the list.
